Recently David Clifford sat down with the Classic Rock Society for a nice chat about Red Jasper, past and present. It is a very nice piece, that gives interesting background information on the band and how the evolved. All the way up to the upcoming release of the Great and Secret Show album.

Of course the collaboration between DC and Clive Nolan is discussed. The interview was published in Rock Society magazine, issue 192.

Fleece gig postponed

It is with some regret that due to unforeseen circumstances we are having to postpone the December gig. We still plan to have the new album out this year so look out for live dates in 2013

A word with Nick Harradence

DC caught up with Nick Harradence in the studio about the past and a new beginning.

A new drummer!

So who is playing drums on upcoming album ‘The Great and Secret Show’?
I am very pleased to announce that playing the drums on 'The Great and Secret Show' will be someone DC has shared a kit with before on tour. (In fact if you listen to the bonus live tracks on the Angel Air re-release of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream/The Winter’s Tale’ double pack, they are his very kit).  Mr. Nick Harradence (of Shadowland) will be taking up the sticks for Red Jasper on the brand new album to be released later in 2012.
DC met Nick on the various tours that Red Jasper and Shadowland played in the 90s.  DC recently contacted Nick (who also formerly played with Threshold), to see if he would be interested in taking over the drum duties leaving him to concentrate on the lead vocals.  Nick agreed and although the future beyond that is as yet undecided, he has agreed to take over the duties for the forthcoming release.
Fear not Shadowland fans; Nick will still be available for duty!
DC comments: “I have always rated Nick very highly as a player and always got on very well with him.  For me (as it was me to be replaced), I was very keen to get someone in with the right ‘vibe’ for the band; there are plenty of top drummers around, but I wanted someone that I knew would complement the style. The band have been very supportive and concur that Nick would be right for the recording, as to the future; we'll have to wait and see.”
